On the eve of e-Ujra week celebration on 05.01.2008, in the Auditorium of GETRI, Smt. V.L. Joshi, IAS, PS, EPD, GoG, Gandhinagar and Chairperson, GUVNL addressed the Nodal Officers and Process Champions on successful implementation of e-urja project. Dr. M.K.Iyer, Sr. CGM(F&A-GETCO, IT-GUVNL) gave a welcome address.

Related to Works Contract”
A unique one-day workshop on “VAT, CST and Service
Tax Related to Works Contract” held on 04.01.2008 in
the Auditorium of GETRI. Dr. Shirish Kulkarni, Reader, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and Shri Manubhai Waghela, Advocate and Consultant were the faculties
to the workshop. Total 126 participants enriched their knowledge
on the subject. Participants were nominated by Gujarat Urja
Vikas Nigam Ltd., Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd.,
Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd., Dakshin Gujarat
Vij Co. Ltd., Madhya Gujarat Vij Co. Ltd., Paschim Gujarat
Vij Co. Ltd. And Uttar Gujarat Vij Co. Ltd. Nominations from
public as well as private Companies viz. Gujarat Alkalies
and Chemicals Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Electrical Research
& Development Association (ERDA), General Motors etc.

December, 2007 : Workshop on “Right
to Information Act: Current Scenario”
An informative workshop on “Right to Information Act:
Current Scenario” was arranged on 20th December, 2007,
at GETRI auditorium. Shri R.N. Das, IAS (Retd), Chief Information
Commissioner of Gujarat, inaugurated the workshop. Smt. Vijaylaxmi
Joshi, IAS, Principal Secretary, E&P Department, GoG &
Chairman GUVNL graced the function with distinguished Present
at the workshop. Other officials Shri L. Chuaungo, IAS, Managing
Director-GUVNL, Shri P. H. Rana, Director Technical-GUVNL,
Shri Vipul Vijoy, IPS,IG(Security) GUVNL & Director-GETRI
also remain presents. Shri Rahul Madgaonkar, RTI Activist,
gave an informative talk on RTI. Dr. Bharat Patel was the
faculty SPIPA on RTI in the afternoon session. Total 123 participants
attended the workshop.
